President Tinubu departed Yokohama, Japan, last Thursday for a state visit to Brazil. After a stopover in Los Angeles, he arrived in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, on Friday, August 15.

The visit included a bilateral meeting with President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, a business forum with Brazilian investors, and the signing of cooperation agreements. The main focus of the visit was on activating agricultural investment, advancing joint initiatives such as the Green Imperative mechanization project, and securing new foreign direct investment in Nigeria's agriculture and energy sectors.

The visit also aimed to deepen political trust, expand cultural exchange, and harness shared opportunities in renewable energy, climate resilience, and digital transformation. President Tinubu was accompanied by key ministers and senior government officials on the trip.
