Rivers State Cabinet Reduced to Six Commissioners After Fubara's Shake-Up

Rivers State Executive Council in Nigeria is now left with only six commissioners after a cabinet shake-up by Governor Siminialayi Fubara. This move follows a Supreme Court judgment that voided appointments made during a political crisis in late 2023 and 2024.

The remaining eligible commissioners include Dr. Tammy Danagogo, Ehie Edison, Dr.

Adaeze Oreh, Mr. Joe Johnson, Chisom Kenneth Gbali, Engr.

Victor Kii, Charles Amadi, and Christopher Green. Special advisers and assistants are also affected by the changes.

The governor has relieved former commissioners of their duties, subject to confirmation by the Rivers State House Assembly.
