US Targets 10 Nigerians in Immigration Crackdown

On August 28, the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that it has targeted 10 Nigerians in its ongoing immigration crackdown, placing them on its “Worst of the Worst” register of criminal immigrants arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The identified individuals are Temitope Bashua, Ojehoro Lewis, Osemudiamen Kingsley Oziegbe, Daniel Oworen, Raymond H.

Ekevwo, Franklin Dikeocha, Johnson Ogunlana, Chukwuemeka Okorocha, Tunde Korede, and Chukwuemeka Chinye. The offenses associated with these individuals include wire fraud, identity theft, fraud, cruelty toward a child, a sex offense against a child, dangerous drugs, weapons possession, aggravated assault, larceny, and conspiracy.

This update aligns with an intensified immigration enforcement campaign under President Donald Trump, focusing on migrants deemed serious criminal threats. DHS stated that the register aims to highlight the “worst of worst criminal aliens” and is part of efforts to fulfill the administration's immigration enforcement agenda.
