ValueJet signs pact to operate Cally Air’s CRJ 1000 jets

Nigeria's domestic carrier, ValueJet, has signed an operational service agreement with Cally Air, a Cross River-based airline, to manage and operate two Bombardier CRJ1000 regional jets on behalf of Cally Air. The move aims to accelerate the utilization of the newly acquired regional jets and provide immediate passenger capacity.

The Managing Director of ValueJet, Capt Omololu Oladapo Majekodunmi, expressed excitement about the partnership with Cally Air and the opportunity to bring the CRJ1000s into commercial service quickly and safely. The arrangement will leverage ValueJet's regional operation experience to expand reliable connectivity for travelers within and outside Nigeria.

Cally Air, initially operated in partnership with a domestic airline, is now solely owned by the Cross River State Government. The airline currently utilizes a fleet of two Boeing aircraft and two CRJ1000 aircraft.
