Veteran Juju Musician Ahuja Bello Dies at 83, Family, Colleagues Mourn Him

Renowned Juju musician Ahuja Bello, known for his vibrant performances and hit albums in the 1970s and 1980s, passed away at the age of 83. His daughter, Aderemi, confirmed the news on Facebook, with his band, Ahuja Bello Golden Eagles Band, also expressing their condolences.

Born Ismaila Dele Bello in 1942, Bello pursued his passion for music while working as an electronic technician, forming his band in 1976. He gained recognition in Nigeria's Juju music scene and even had the opportunity to record in London and meet Bob Marley.

Tragically, his career was cut short by a fatal accident in 1982, just one month after his 40th birthday. Colleagues and fans, including Nollywood actors, mourned his passing, remembering his impact on the music industry.
