Adeleke Urges Arrest of Criminals, Even Family Members

On Friday, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke made a strong statement to Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu, urging the arrest of anyone involved in criminal activities, regardless of their relationship to him. This directive came in response to allegations that Ibrahim Gotan, the Osun State Commissioner of Police, had sheltered criminal suspects in the governor's residence.

Adeleke emphasized the need for accountability, stating, "If my son commits a crime, arrest him," highlighting the importance of learning from such actions. He also accused police officers of playing games and failing to perform their duties effectively, particularly in the context of the murder of a 14-year-old boy in Ilobu.

Adeleke commended the Inspector General for his commitment to addressing indiscipline within the Nigeria Police Force and pledged to cooperate with law enforcement while urging officers to remain professional and impartial.
