Osinbajo Condoles with Amaechi Over Mother's Death

Former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo visited Rotimi Amaechi on Sunday to offer condolences after the death of Amaechi's mother, Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi. This visit is part of a series of condolences from political leaders across Nigeria, as Amaechi has received numerous visitors at his Abuja residence.

Osinbajo and Amaechi previously served together in the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari, with Osinbajo as Vice President and Amaechi as Minister of Transportation. Other notable figures who have expressed their sympathies include Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), who visited Amaechi and is running alongside him in the 2027 presidential election.

Peter Obi, the former Labour Party presidential candidate, also visited and extended condolences, emphasizing the profound loss of a matriarch. President Bola Tinubu described Dame Mary Amaechi as a champion of faith, highlighting her humility and service to humanity.
