Principal Grateful After Release from Kidnapping Incident

Mr. Rachael Alamu, the principal of Oriire Community High School, expressed his gratitude following his release from captivity after being abducted along with several pupils and teachers.

The kidnapping incident took place in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, near the Ahoru Esiel and Yawota areas, nearly two months before the announcement of their freedom. Bayo Onanuga, a special adviser to the presidency, confirmed the release of the victims in a post on Friday.

In a statement, Mr. Alamu thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his concern and efforts towards ensuring their safe return.

He also appreciated the security operations that contributed to their release, emphasizing the impact of the attack on the community, which caused panic among residents.
