Kenneth Emeka Nwabuez, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Vitel Wireless, stated that the initiative aims to provide greater flexibility and value to Nigerians facing economic pressures. The non-expiring data service allows users to retain their purchased data until fully consumed, eliminating the typical time restrictions associated with internet bundles.

Nwabuez criticized conventional data pricing models for being confusing and restrictive, particularly highlighting the challenges posed by inconsistent electricity supply and financial constraints that limit internet access. The company also plans to distribute free eSIMs to prospective users, enabling them to try the service alongside existing mobile lines.

Future offerings will include specialized data bundles for platforms like WhatsApp, YouTube, and Netflix, which will also operate without expiration limits. Vitel Wireless operates as a mobile virtual network operator, leveraging existing telecom infrastructure to deliver services efficiently.
