Shettima Endorses Renewed Hope Baby Support Programme

Vice President Kashim Shettima applauded the Renewed Hope Baby Support Programme (RHB) during a presentation by the management team of the North East Development Commission (NEDC), led by Managing Director Moham Alkali, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The RHB initiative is designed to ensure that every Nigerian child has structured access to healthcare and long-term financial opportunities.

Shettima stressed the importance of seamless collaboration among NEDC, the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, and relevant agencies to achieve maximum impact, particularly for children and families. He noted that the program aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda for the North East.

Dr. Mariam Masha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Regional Development at NEDC, explained that the RHB program aims to connect approximately 7.6 million births recorded annually in Nigeria to a structured pathway for healthcare and development.
