Wadada Wins APC Governorship Ticket for Nasarawa State

Senator Ahm Wadada emerged as the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election for Nasarawa State, held on Friday in Lafia. The results were announced by Prof.

Theodor Maiyaki, the chairman of the APC governorship primary election committee. Wadada received the highest number of valid votes, totaling 195,285, defeating six other aspirants.

The breakdown of votes for the other candidates included Tanimu Adabson with 65 votes, Dr. Fatima Abdullahi Adamu with 246 votes, Dr.

Hassan Liman with 863 votes, Dr. Zakka Yakubu with 336 votes, Prof.

Moham Sani Haruna with 5,844 votes, and former Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu with 39,675 votes. The committee ensured transparency in the electoral process and confirmed that all requirements of the APC constitution and electoral guidelines were met, leading to Wadada's declaration as the party's candidate for the 2027 governorship election in Nasarawa State.
