Super Falcons Face Zambia in WAFCON 2026 Showdown

Nigeria’s Super Falcons are set to play against Zambia in a pivotal Group C match of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) on Saturday night at Al Madina Stadium in Rabat, Morocco. The Super Falcons, nine-time African champions, are under pressure after losing their opening fixture and must secure a victory to enhance their chances of advancing to the knockout stage.

Zambia, in contrast, comes into the match with confidence following a 6-0 win over Egypt. Head coach Justine Madugu has chosen to maintain the core of the team, with Asisat Oshoala starting after previously coming on as a substitute.

Chiamaka Nnadozie, Africa’s reigning Goalkeeper of the Year, will again be in goal. The defense will feature Osinachi Ohale, Oluwatosin Demehin, and Michelle Alozie, tasked with containing Zambia’s attacking duo of Barbra Banda and Racheal Kundananji.
