Super Falcons Squad Announced for WAFCON 2026 Title Defense

Justin Madugu, the head coach of the Super Falcons, has selected a 25-player squad for the upcoming 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). The team, led by captain Rasheedat Ajibade and featuring star forward Asisat Oshoala, aims to defend their title and secure an unprecedented 11th championship.

The Super Falcons are drawn in Group C alongside Malawi, Zambia, and Egypt, with their first match scheduled against Malawi on July 28, 2026, at Al Madina Stadium in Rabat, Morocco. The squad includes notable players such as goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozi, defender Osinachi Ohal, and midfielder Halimatu Ayinde.

Local player Fatima Oloko is also included in the squad. The Super Falcons are set to converge in Morocco next week to begin their final preparations for the tournament.
