Super Falcons Face Banyana Banyana in World Cup Qualifier

The Super Falcons of Nigeria are set to confront South Africa's Banyana Banyana in Casablanca on Thursday, aiming to secure a place in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2026. This match follows their quarter-final exit at the Women Africa Cup of Nations finals in Morocco.

The last encounter between the two teams was a semi-final match in which Nigeria won 2-1, thanks to a late goal by defender Michelle Alozie. Historically, South Africa has defeated Nigeria in three editions of the Women Africa Cup of Nations, but Nigeria has won 17 out of 21 encounters.
