Super Falcons Prepare for WAFCON with Ghana Friendly

The Super Falcons of Nigeria are set to play a friendly match against Ghana's Black Queens on Saturday as part of their final preparations for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Morocco from July 19 to August 8, 2026. The Falcons aim to reclaim the title they have won a record 10 times.

They opened their training camp in Casablanca on Monday, with the first training session led by head coach Justin Madugu taking place at Stade El Arbi Zaouli on Tuesday. Ten players have already arrived at the team's camp, including captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozi, and forward Asisat Oshoala.

The Falcons will begin their WAFCON campaign against Malawi on July 20, 2026, and are placed in Group C alongside Zambia and Egypt. The tournament's four semi-finalists will qualify automatically for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup in Brazil.
