WAFU B U-17 Tourney: Cote d’Ivoire replace Nigeria as host

Cote d’Ivoire has been chosen to replace Nigeria as the host of the WAFU B U-17 Tournament in 2025. The annual competition was initially scheduled to take place in Nigeria next month at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta.

However, due to ongoing renovation work at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, the designated venue, the WAFU B council decided to move the tournament to Cote d’Ivoire. The renovation work at the stadium began last week, prompting the change in venue.

The WAFU B tournament is now set to run from September 11 to 25, 2025. This decision marks a shift in hosting responsibilities for the championship, with Cote d’Ivoire stepping in to host the event.
