Ajayi's Defense Praised in Hull's Draw with Chelsea
In a Premier League match on Saturday at Stamford Bridge, Hull City secured a 2-2 draw against Chelsea, with notable praise directed at Super Eagles centre-back Semi Ajayi from former Crystal Palace right-back Joel Ward. Chelsea initially took the lead with a goal from Morgan Rogers in the seventh minute.
However, Hull City responded with two goals from Mohamed Belloumi, putting them ahead 2-1 at halftime. Chelsea equalized in the second half through Joao Pedro in the 66th minute.
Despite conceding their first goals of the season, Ajayi's performance was highlighted for his intelligent defensive play, including a crucial recovery challenge against Malo Gusto. Ajayi has started all four of Hull City's matches this season and scored their first goal in a previous match against Manchester United.
Hull City remains third in the Premier League table, while Chelsea is fourth.
