NBA Electoral Committee Confident in 2026 Election Integrity

The Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has affirmed its confidence in the integrity of the electoral process for the NBA national elections set for July 20, 2026. The committee is committed to ensuring a credible election, with a focus on transparency and adherence to the NBA Constitution, particularly the 2015 amendments and 2025 provisions.

They are preparing for the election by finalizing the voter list and developing an electronic voting platform in collaboration with Mikrodigit Connect. This platform is undergoing security certification and testing.

The committee has also addressed concerns regarding the electoral process by involving candidates in technical consultations to enhance transparency. They have received 19 bids for the electoral service, narrowing it down to six companies for further assessment.

The committee is dedicated to conducting the election process in strict accordance with constitutional provisions, ensuring that all candidates have the opportunity to appeal decisions regarding their qualifications.
