Edo ADC Unaware of Local Govt Bye-Election, Raises Transparency Concerns

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Edo State expressed unawareness of a local government bye-election scheduled for September 20, 2025. The Edo State Independent Electoral Commission (EDSIEC) is set to conduct the election to fill councillorship seats across 15 local government areas.

The ADC chairman, Kennedy Odion, stated in an interview that the party had not been officially notified by EDSIEC about the election. Odion emphasized the party's commitment to good governance and accountability through its Renewed Hope Agenda.

The lack of communication from EDSIEC has left the ADC unaware of the election procedures and guidelines, raising concerns about the transparency of the electoral process.
