Dangote Refinery Faces 22 Sabotage Incidents, Safety Concerns Arise

The Dangote Refinery, represented by Devakumar Edwin, disclosed experiencing 22 sabotage incidents since establishment, resulting in the reorganization of the company and dismissal of workers. The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) raised concerns over the layoffs, attributing them to union disputes.

The refinery's operations were affected by the repeated sabotage attempts, prompting safety worries. The industrial action by PENGASSAN was temporarily suspended after federal government intervention.
