Dangote Refutes Mass Sack Reports, Emphasizes Safety Measures

Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals addressed reports of mass layoffs at its plant, dismissing claims of a workforce reduction due to sabotage incidents. The refinery management clarified that a reshuffle was conducted to address safety concerns and prevent worker investigations.

A letter dated September 25, signed by Femi Adekunle, Chief General Manager of Human Asset Management, emphasized the necessity of the move to maintain uninterrupted operations. A senior refinery official confirmed the authenticity of the letter and debunked rumors of blanket dismissals.

Dangote's spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina, confirmed ongoing reorganization within the facility but stressed that workers are still employed. The refinery's actions aim to ensure operational efficiency and safety while dispelling misinformation.
