Trump Calls for Voter Support to Maintain US Leadership

US President Donald Trump made a final appeal to voters during a call with Fox & Friends, stating, “we have to keep America great.” He claimed that the United States has transformed from being a “laughingstock” under the previous administration to the “hottest country in the world.” Trump asserted that world leaders now take the US seriously, citing Chinese President Xi Jinping’s recent visit as evidence of this change. He expressed confidence that his administration would sustain this momentum and improve the country’s global standing.

These remarks coincided with midterm elections that could significantly impact the balance of power in Congress, with Republicans aiming to retain control of both the House of Representatives and the Senate, while Democrats seek to gain ground to limit Trump's legislative agenda.
