PETROAN Threatens NNPC Over Port Harcourt Refinery Shutdown

The Petroleum Product Retail Outlet Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) has criticized the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) over the continued shutdown of the Port Harcourt Refinery. PETROAN's Chief Executive Officer, Joseph Obel, warned NNPC that if the refinery does not resume operations, they will demand the removal of NNPC executives.

Obel highlighted the significance of efficient management of state-owned assets and praised the success of the Dangote Refinery. He emphasized the need for urgent action to prevent further economic setbacks and erosion of investor confidence.

PETROAN expressed concerns about the delay in restarting the Port Harcourt Refinery and urged NNPC to address the issue promptly to avoid wastage and equipment failure.
