Oyo Governor Makinde Vows to Strengthen PDP Amid Inauguration of New Secretariat

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde reaffirmed his commitment to bolstering the People's Democratic Party (PDP) during the inauguration of a new PDP secretariat in Oyo State. Makinde emphasized the need for unity within the party to overcome internal challenges and external interference.

He recognized the contributions of former Oyo State PDP Chairman Omokunmi Mustapha in rebuilding the party. Makinde criticized Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike for alleged interference in Oyo PDP affairs, citing unresolved issues within the River State chapter.

The event was attended by prominent party members, including former Kano State Governor Ibrahim Shekarau and PDP National Chairman Kabiru Turaki. Makinde had previously donated a secretariat to the South West PDP in honor of a late former national vice-chairman.

The ceremony highlighted Makinde's efforts to strengthen the party's structure and support members at all levels.
