Peter Obi Addresses Nigeria's Insecurity in Podcast Interview

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, spoke about Nigeria's ongoing security challenges during an interview on the Nevon HQ podcast hosted by Rufai Oseni. Obi declared that the country would confront anyone who threatens its peace, stating, "We’ll go to war with anybody who wants war." He emphasized a dual approach to tackling insecurity, combining dialogue with firm action.

Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, highlighted the importance of inclusivity and addressing legitimate grievances to foster national unity. He argued that insecurity cannot be resolved through military action alone and stressed the need for effective leadership, economic opportunities, and justice to complement security operations.

Obi reiterated his vision for Nigeria as a nation built on inclusivity, fairness, and equal opportunities for all citizens, regardless of their ethnic, religious, or regional backgrounds.
