Wema Bank Launches Year-Long Children's Day Initiative

Wema Bank announced the expansion of its Children’s Day initiative during a special event on May 25, 2026, led by the bank's one-day MD/CEO Chinmamanda Diamond Ozoakpata. The initiative includes a range of year-long rewards and a STEM challenge targeting children and teenagers across Nigeria.

A significant feature is the introduction of birthday cash rewards for holders of the Royal Kiddi Account, where children turning five will receive ₦5,000 and those turning ten will receive ₦10,000. This initiative will run from May 2026 to May 2027, benefiting children who hold active Royal Kiddi Accounts.

Additionally, Wema Bank will reward the top 100 students in the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) with ₦100,000 each, starting in June 2026. The bank also plans to launch a financial literacy book for children aged six and above and will conduct a STEM challenge for secondary school students aged 13 to 17 across six schools nationwide, featuring monetary prizes for participants.
