Wike Visits APC Chairman Yilwatda, Dismisses Political Speculation

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, visited Nentaw Yilwatda, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to clarify the nature of their meeting, which he described as based on their professional relationship rather than political motives. Wike addressed speculation surrounding the visit, stating that political differences should not create hostility among individuals.

He emphasized that the visit was private and did not require public announcement. Wike noted that he had attempted to meet with Yilwatda on several occasions but was unable due to scheduling conflicts.

He maintained that Nigerians should not interpret meetings between politicians as conspiratorial. Wike, a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, reiterated his commitment to delivering infrastructure projects in Abuja and expressed satisfaction with the progress of ongoing road projects in the capital city.
