Dickson Invites Nigerians to Join New Nigeria Democrat Congress

Senator Seriak Dickson, the founder and leader of the Nigeria Democrat Congress (NDC), has invited Nigerians and politicians to join the newly registered political party, emphasizing its readiness to accommodate those seeking a new political platform amid ongoing developments in the country. Dickson made this announcement while discussing the party's plans following its formal registration with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in February.

He represents Bayelsa West in the Senate and previously served as the governor of Bayelsa State. The NDC plans to launch a digital membership registration platform on March 15, shortly after its registration.

Dickson described the NDC as a party built on the idea of service rather than traditional political structures, aiming to welcome politicians who feel displaced by current political developments. He also addressed criticisms from Umar Ardo, who he described as misguiding and propagandistic, and encouraged Ardo to pursue grievances through the court.

The NDC's registration process was revived after INEC lifted the embargo on new political party registrations last year.
