Dickson Launches NDC Membership Portal, Calls for Change

On Monday, during a political event in Abuja, Senator Seriak Dickson, the former governor of Bayelsa State, declared that Nigerians are increasingly frustrated and hungry for change as the country approaches the 2027 general elections. He unveiled a digital membership registration portal for the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), which aims to attract citizens from diverse backgrounds, including the diaspora.

The event was attended by key party figures, including NDC's national chairman Cleopa Mose and national secretary Ikenna Enekweizu. Dickson portrayed the NDC as a fresh political force, contrasting it with older parties that he described as having failed the nation.

He announced his departure from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) due to internal crises and poor leadership, emphasizing the NDC's commitment to grassroots mobilization and development. The NDC seeks to build a stronger, inclusive political structure to address the dissatisfaction among Nigerians.
