Australia Offers Fully Funded Scholarships for Nigerians

The Australian Government has announced a fully funded scholarship program for Nigerian students to pursue master's research and doctoral philosophy degrees at Australian universities. This initiative is part of the Research Training Program (RTP), which covers full tuition fees and provides a living stipend valued at AUD 34,315 per year.

The scholarship is available for two years for master's research students and four years for PhD candidates. Eligible students must meet the English language requirements of their chosen universities.

The application process is managed by the participating universities, which have varying deadlines, with some closing in July and October 2026. Prospective applicants are encouraged to identify universities that align with their research interests and prepare necessary documents, including research proposals and academic transcripts.

The scholarship aims to support higher degree research students and enhance their career prospects in academia and industry.
