Nigerian singer, Peller, has questioned the Lagos State Government over a ₦36 million tax demand, deeming it unreasonable given his recent rise in earnings. In a live video, singer Peruzzi supported tax payment as a legal obligation for Nigerians, advising Peller to clear his tax bill promptly to avoid legal trouble, including imprisonment.

Peller expressed disbelief at the tax demand, stating that the government had never supported him in his TikTok activities, where he openly displayed his wealth and disclosed his earnings. Peruzzi suggested that Peller request time to arrange payment, as Peller's income mainly comes from social media and local Nigerian sources.

Peller emphasized the need for clarity on where he is expected to obtain the funds to meet the tax demand.
