Ex-IGP Adamu Announces Nasarawa Governorship Bid

Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, the former Inspector General of Police, formally announced his intention to contest for the governorship of Nasarawa State on Friday by submitting his nomination form at the APC national secretariat in Abuja. Adamu expressed that his decision is driven by concerns over development issues, particularly in the area of security.

He highlighted his extensive experience in confronting complex security challenges and emphasized the need to strengthen institutional frameworks for coordinated national and international police efforts. His campaign focuses on five key areas: enhancing security through a modern intelligence-driven community approach, fostering economic growth particularly in agriculture, investing in the future of youth, improving access to quality education and healthcare, and promoting cultural transparency and accountability in governance.

Adamu urged fellow APC members to conduct themselves with dignity and respect during the electoral process, reinforcing his commitment to serve the people of Nasarawa State.
