Support Base Shifts to Ex-IGP for Nasarawa Governorship

In Nasarawa State, Dr. Faisal Shuaibu, a former Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, and Dr.

Musa Ahm have announced their withdrawal from the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship race. They have shifted their support to Moham Adamu Abubakar, the former Inspector General of Police, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Abdulhaq Dauda, speaking on behalf of the group, stated that the decision was driven by a desire for people-oriented leadership in the state. Initially, the group had supported Dr.

Shuaibu, but after his withdrawal, they chose to back Abubakar, citing his leadership qualities and prospects for uplifting the common man in Nasarawa State. Abdul Maidoki, a leader among the supporters, affirmed their commitment to Abubakar and emphasized the need for party discipline and adherence to internal democracy.

They called on Governor Abdullahi Sule to refrain from interfering in the party's primary process to ensure credible and transparent elections.
