Father of BBNaija Star Ilebaye Arrested for Assault

Emmanuel Godson Odiniya, father of Big Brother Naija star Ilebaye Odiniya, has spoken out regarding a recent incident where he allegedly assaulted his daughter. The altercation, which occurred at their residence in Royal Anchor Estate, Abuja, was reportedly triggered by Ilebaye's refusal to assist financially with her medical trip to Dubai.

Emmanuel claimed that despite his support for her during her participation in Big Brother Naija, Ilebaye did not publicly acknowledge his contributions. The situation escalated, leading to a physical confrontation that resulted in Ilebaye sustaining visible injuries.

Following the incident, she was taken to NNPC Hospital for medical attention. The Federal Capital Territory Police Command responded to a distress call and confirmed that Emmanuel Odiniya was in custody as investigations continue.

The family has a history of domestic disputes, with Lami Odiniya, Ilebaye's mother, previously granted custody of their two younger sons.
