Yemi Solade Explains Why He Stopped Attending Church

Yemi Solade, a 66-year-old veteran Nollywood actor, explained in a recent interview why he ceased attending church 13 years ago. He stated that he no longer agrees with the notion of limiting worship to a particular day, asserting that "there is no Sunday in the Bible." Solade emphasized that his decision does not indicate a loss of faith, as he believes his relationship with God is paramount.

He expressed that worship should extend beyond formal church attendance, saying, “My life is not orchestrated towards a particular day.” Additionally, Solade shared insights about his personal relationships, indicating a preference for avoiding close friendships and intimacy, stating, “I do not have a friend. I do not roll with anybody.” He also commented on public perception, noting that discussions about him reflect his relevance, asserting that if he were not important, people would not talk about him.
