Akpabio Confident in Tinubu's 2027 Re-election Prospects

On Monday in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, Senate President Godswill Akpabio stated that he is confident Nigerians will re-elect President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections. Akpabio made these remarks while receiving members of the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions, Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), and Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), led by Senator Mohammed Dandutse.

He emphasized that the achievements of the Tinubu administration would be significant campaign issues, asserting that voters would evaluate the government based on its performance. Akpabio noted that when Tinubu assumed office, he inherited a challenging economic situation, with 27 states unable to meet salary and pension obligations.

He praised Tinubu for implementing innovative solutions to the country's economic challenges and expressed that the administration's record would be a strong point in the upcoming campaign. Akpabio also challenged opposition politicians to present their records for comparison with the current administration's performance.
