Ikenna Iyiegbu, known as IK Cubana and the younger brother of popular nightlife entrepreneur Obi Cubana, has declared his ambition to enter politics by contesting for a seat in the House of Representatives for Idemili North, Anambra State, in the upcoming 2027 general elections. His announcement was made public via a social media post on Wednesday, accompanied by a campaign-style flyer featuring his photograph and a political message.

Ikenna will be contesting under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). His decision has sparked discussions online, with many questioning why he chose APGA over the All Progressives Congress (APC).

While some users expressed surprise at his choice, others welcomed it as a sign of independent loyalty to the state's political structure. The announcement has drawn attention due to the political leanings of his elder brother, Obi Cubana, who has been associated with pro-government activities, particularly in support of President Bola Tinubu.
