Dangote Refinery Warns of Possible Petrol Price Increase to ₦1,000/Litre Due to Coastal Logistics Reliance

Dangote Refinery has cautioned that Nigeria's heavy dependence on coastal logistics for distributing petroleum products could potentially drive petrol prices up to nearly ₦1,000 per litre. The refinery highlighted the need for more efficient evacuation methods and investments in pipeline infrastructure to avoid costly implications for fuel prices and the economy.

Dangote Refinery emphasized its operational efficiency and infrastructure capabilities, including world-class gantry facilities. The company dismissed claims of misleading information, stating that its operations have contributed to a drop in diesel and petrol prices.
