NNPC Raises Petrol Price to ₦835/Liter, Dangote Refinery Follows Suit

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has announced an increase in the price of petrol to ₦835 per liter in Lagos and ₦839 per liter in Abuja. This adjustment follows a similar move by Dangote Petroleum Refinery, which raised its petrol price to between ₦699 and ₦799 per liter.

The price hikes are attributed to a return to normal market conditions after the festive period. This increase is likely to raise concerns about the cost of living, transport fares, and inflationary pressures, compounding the challenges faced by millions of Nigerians.

It marks the second time Dangote Refinery has implemented a price adjustment during the festive season, aiming to ease the burden on the public.
