Ashutosh Shastri Discusses UK Investment in Nigeria's Energy

Ashutosh Shastri, the founder of a London-based international strategic management consultancy in the Energy Sector, serves multiple roles including Advisor at the Global Gas Centre in Geneva and Distinguished Fellow at the Energy Policy Research Foundation Inc. in Washington DC. He is also Master of The Worshipful Company of Fuellers, which represents the energy industry in the UK.

Following the Nigeria Climate Investment Summit held in London earlier in the year, Shastri spoke about the opportunities for UK businesses in Nigeria's energy transition. He addressed various topics including the importance of climate action, the role of developing countries in securing global climate finance, and the significance of collaboration through initiatives like the NCIS.

Shastri expressed interest in the types of investment opportunities available in Nigeria and the necessary reforms in the global climate political economy to facilitate capital flows to the Global South.
