KAROTA Arrests Truck of Alcohol in Kano Amid Reforms

The Kano Road Transport Agency (KAROTA) announced the arrest of a truck loaded with alcoholic beverages, which are prohibited for sale and consumption in Kano State. Abubakar Ibrahim Sharada, the head of KAROTA, described this action as part of the agency's newly implemented reforms aimed at enhancing public safety and compliance with state laws.

In a separate incident, KAROTA personnel made a significant decision when they allowed a driver, who violated traffic regulations, to proceed after he explained that he was rushing to donate blood to save his critically ill daughter.

The agency verified the driver's claim, confirming the child's urgent need for a blood transfusion, showcasing the agency's commitment to community welfare alongside law enforcement.
