NIESV Chooses Abia for 56th Annual Conference and AGM

The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), led by President Chairman Dr. Victor Adekunle Alonge, has selected Abia State to host its 56th annual conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM).

This decision was announced during a press conference on Tuesday at the International Conference Centre in Ogurub Layout, Umuahia. Dr.

Alonge highlighted the significant contributions of two past presidents from Abia State to the growth of the profession as a key reason for the choice. He commended the current administration under Governor Alex Otti for its ongoing infrastructure development, including the construction of the Abia State Airport, which is expected to enhance real estate investment upon completion.

The conference is scheduled to formally kick off on Monday, April 13, 2026, with expectations of attendance from top government officials and stakeholders in the real estate sector. The theme of the conference is "Corridor Connect: Rethink Real Estate Development Along Renewed Hope Infrastructure Investment.".
