Nyesom Wike's Governance Outshines Predecessors in Rivers

Chibudom Nwuche, the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, asserted that Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, was a more effective governor of Rivers State than his predecessors, Peter Odili and Chibuike Amaechi. Nwuche made this statement during a thank-you party for leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party and All Progressives Congress in Ahoada East.

He criticized Odili and Amaechi for leaving no developmental legacy in Ekpeye land, claiming there were no significant projects during their tenures. In contrast, Nwuche highlighted that Wike's administration executed over 18 projects in Ekpeye, including the Ahoada Campus of Rivers State University and the completion of the Ochigba Road.

He noted that Wike completed more than 1,000 kilometers of roads across Rivers State, linking rural communities to urban areas, and mentioned specific projects such as the dualisation of the Saakpenwa-Bori Highway and the construction of 10 flyovers in Port Harcourt and Obio/Akpor.
