Zimbabwean Tycoon Wicknell Chivayo Dies in Crash

Wicknell Chivayo, a prominent Zimbabwean businessman known for his extravagant lifestyle, tragically died in a helicopter crash along with his wife, Lucy Muteke, and four others. The crash occurred while they were traveling from a rural property that Chivayo was developing.

Following the news of the crash, an old photograph of Chivayo greeting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Aso Villa in Abuja gained attention on social media. This image, taken during Chivayo's visit to Nigeria in October 2025 as part of a high-level investment tour, was not recent as some assumed.

During that visit, Chivayo was received by Tinubu and Senator Wadada, with discussions centered on fostering economic partnerships and cross-border investment opportunities. The meeting also included the Senate President, emphasizing Nigeria's commitment to attracting foreign investment.
