Fayose Claims Wike-APC Rift Won't Impact Tinubu's Votes

Ayodele Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, discussed the dynamics between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Wike, and the APC governors during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today. He asserted that the crucial factor for President Bola Tinubu is whether the coalition, referred to as "rainbow," can effectively deliver votes.

Fayose remarked that Wike and the APC governors support Tinubu in different ways and that their disagreements should not be seen as a threat to his re-election. He noted that controversy can actually enhance the election process, stating that it helps to clarify positions and interests.

Fayose emphasized that while the Nigerian Governors’ Forum and Wike may express differing views, they are ultimately united in their support for the president. He concluded that individual strategies may vary, but the overarching goal remains the same: to secure votes for Tinubu.
