PDP Denies Meeting with ADC Amid 2027 Election Talks

The Nyesom Wike-backed faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) issued a statement on Wednesday, clarifying that it did not authorize any meeting with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) led by Taminu Turaki. PDP's national publicity secretary, Moham Jungudo, emphasized that the party had neither held formal nor informal talks with the ADC, and any individuals attending such meetings did so in a personal capacity, not representing the PDP.

The statement urged party members to disregard claims suggesting otherwise, labeling them as unfounded and not reflective of the party's official position. Meanwhile, earlier on the same day, the Turaki-led faction of the PDP visited the ADC faction led by David Mark, which lasted from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

This meeting was described as a show of solidarity ahead of the 2027 elections, with notable figures in attendance, including former ministers and governors.
