Wike Advocates for Tinubu's 2027 Re-election Efforts

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, expressed his primary political focus on ensuring the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. Speaking in Abuja after inspecting road projects, Wike dismissed claims that the Rainbow Coalition, which he is associated with, was formed to destabilize existing political parties, labeling such allegations as "baseless." He emphasized that the coalition aims to unite individuals from various political backgrounds in support of Tinubu's administration.

Wike stated, “My primary concern is whether Tinubu will be re-elected for a second term,” and expressed disappointment over accusations against the coalition. He questioned why similar concerns were not raised regarding the G5 governors during the 2023 elections, which he argued did not disrupt the political structure.

Wike also refuted speculation about his ambitions for the presidency in 2031, stating that only God determines the future and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Tinubu.
