Wike Commends Okpebholo's Grassroots Development in Edo

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, praised Okpebholo's grassroots development efforts in Edo State, particularly the procurement of equipment for the 18 local government councils. He described this initiative as a significant boost for grassroots economic development.

During the event in Benin City, Wike acknowledged Okpebholo's commitment to rural development and economic empowerment, emphasizing the importance of local governance in demonstrating economic progress. He contrasted these efforts with political distractions from opponents, asserting that the current administration remains the best strategy for addressing local governance challenges.

Okpebholo explained that the equipment would facilitate the opening of rural roads, improve drainage systems, and support sanitation efforts, thereby accelerating infrastructure delivery at the local level. Sunni Ekpeson, the ALGON chairman for Etsako East Local Government Area, also celebrated the government's alignment with the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
