Minister Wike Launches Free Mother-Baby Kits to Support Maternal Health

Minister Nyesom Wike launched a free mother-baby kit distribution program as part of Nigeria's 65th Independence Anniversary celebrations at the Asokoro District Hospital in the FCT. The initiative aims to provide essential tools and support for mothers and newborns to ensure a safe start in life.

The kits contain vital medical supplies to facilitate safe labor, delivery, and newborn care across the FCT. Additionally, the Abuja Breathe Fresh Air Project was introduced to promote the use of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cookers to reduce household air pollution.

These initiatives symbolize Wike's commitment to improving maternal and child health while addressing environmental concerns in the region.
