Wike-Led PDP Faction Expels Governors, Dissolves State Executives Amid Party Crisis

The Wike-led faction of the PDP expelled Governors Seyi Makinde, Bala Mohammed, and Dauda Lawal, along with several senior party figures, during a meeting in Abuja. This move follows tensions between factions, with the Wike faction rejecting decisions made at the Ibadan convention.

The faction also dissolved the PDP state executive councils in Oyo, Bauchi, Zamfara, Yobe, Lagos, and Ekiti, constituting caretaker committees. The decision was based on alleged violations of the party's constitution, leading to disciplinary actions against senior members.
